Sisters and San Jose natives Be'Anka Ashaolu and Jeronica Macey never planned to market their new downtown coffee shop, Nirvana Soul, as "Black-owned." Then, George Floyd was killed at the hands of police, leaving the entrepreneurs with "an incredible sense of responsibility to talk about it."
