Smartmatic Sues Fox News For $2.7 Bln Over Election Disinformation Campaign

Election technology and software company Smartmatic USA Corp. has filed a lawsuit against Fox News, owned by Fox Corp., and its certain hosts and two attorneys close to former President Donald Trump over alleged disinformation campaign after the 2020 U.S. presidential election. In the defamation suit filed in a New York court, the company seeks $2.7 billion in damages from Fox News.
