Gov. Gavin Newsom signed off on two measures Thursday that will effectively end single-family zoning in California. The measures — Senate Bills 9 and 10 — landed on Newsom's desk just two weeks before the Sept. 14 recall election in which about 64% of voters opted to keep the governor in office.
