UMWA reaches collective bargaining agreement at Shoal Creek mine

A local mine has ratified a new contract after a multiple-month employee strike. Members of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) Local Union 1948 have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement at the Shoal Creek metallurgical coal mine in Alabama.
