Charlotte Hornets, Carolina Panthers among sports teams expecting revenue boost with approval of mobile betting bill

An industry lobbyist told CBJ that North Carolina stands to generate an estimated $50 million in annual tax revenue if legislation is approved to expand sports betting in the state. Local teams and venues, from the Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers to Charlotte Motor Speedway, also expect gains.
