Raiders get $6 million discount on land for corporate HQ and practice field outside of Las Vegas

The Raiders will receive a $6.05 million discount on the 55 acres of land being set aside for their new sports complex outside of Las Vegas, a major drop from the $12.1 million value the land has been assessed at, a new report says. The Henderson City Council voted this week to invoke a directed sale rule that allows local officials to hand over land in a no-bid sale if they believe it is best for the public interest, the Las Vegas Sun reports.
