Tuesday, 19 March 2019 Culture Committee calls for boycott of the site...
A group of British MPs have warned fans not to buy from ticket re-selling site *Viagogo*.
The controversial site has frequently been accused of poor habits and bad customer service, with its record coming up for scrutiny at a Culture Committee.
Previously a competitions watchdog claimed that Viagogo was in contempt of court, with MPs now claiming the site has "caused distress for too many music fans for too long..."
Chairman Damian Collins said: "We’re calling on the Government to review the effectiveness of the law intended to prevent consumers being ripped-off."
Collins also stated that the committee has taken the "unusual step of issuing a warning... against using a major secondary ticketing site until it complies fully with consumer law..."
Viagogo, however, isn't taking the claims lying down. Saying it has been "singled out" the Geneva-based company claims to provide an "invaluable service to UK consumers".
