It's out on July 30th...

*TORRES* will release new album 'Thirstier' on July 30th.

The songwriter decamped to Devon last year to focus on the project, self-producing alongside Rob Ellis and Peter Miles.

Thematically, 'Thirstier' focusses on the intensity of joy, with TORRES opening herself up to fresh feelings, and in turn allowing these to inform her art.

She says: “I wanted to channel my intensity into something that felt positive and constructive, as opposed to being intense in a destructive or eviscerating way. I love the idea that intensity can actually be something life-saving or something joyous.”

“I’ve been conjuring this deep, deep joy that I honestly didn’t feel for most of my life,” she adds. “I feel like a rock within myself. And I’ve started to feel that I have what it takes to help other people conjure their joy, too.”

'Thirstier' will be released on June 30th through Merge Records, with lead single 'Don’t Go Puttin Wishes in My Head' arriving dappled in light.
