Silicon Valley historian, author Leslie Berlin to discuss ‘Troublemakers’
Tuesday, 5 December 2017 Leslie Berlin’s “Troublemakers: Silicon Valley’s Coming of Age” may well be the bildungsroman of the modern era, excavating the stories behind the generation that launched major tech industries like video games and personal computing. The book narrates “thirty-five miles and seven years,” 1969-1976, detailing the careers of a select cast of “troublemakers.” The visionaries chronicled in the book include household names like Steve Jobs as well as under-the-radar figures like Sandra Kurtzig, the first woman to take a tech company public.
Three noted industry leaders will sit down for a conversation about the investment crossover from Europe to Silicon Valley. Panel includes Thomas Korte (AngelPad), Andy McLoughlin (Uncork Capital) and Timo Rein (Pipedrive)
