Manafort Loses VIP Jail Perks, Prosecution Has Evidence Reaching Back to the 1980sPresident Donald Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort lost his attempt to remain in jail where court papers revealed he was being treated like a "VIP" on Wednesday, according to Reuters. The court papers also revealed that prosecutors could be using evidence about alleged wrongdoing during the 1980s from Manafort's past for his trial including charges of bank fraud and other financial crimes and failing to register as a foreign agent during his lobbying work for a pro-Russia political group in Ukraine.
