Philippines death toll rises as typhoon barrels towards China
Sunday, 16 September 2018 () TUGUEGARAO, Philippines: Typhoon Mangkhut killed at least 25 people in the Philippines as it smashed homes and left behind torrents of floodwater, and is now on course to plough into China's coast.
Typhoon Mangkhut lashed the northern Philippines with the force of a Category 5 hurricane Saturday. Dozens are still missing as heavy rain triggered landslides in the region. BBC News' Jonathan Head reports.
