Canada Hopes To Welcome More Than One Million Immigrants Over The Next Three Years
Friday, 11 January 2019 () The Canadian Parliament released its detailed plan to add hundreds of thousands of permanent residents each year from 2019 to 2021 on Friday in its 2018 Annual Report to Parliament on Immigration, according to ABC News. The plans will add more than one million new residents over the next three years, which is nearly one percent of the country' current population each year. In 2017, Canada welcomed more than 286,000 permanent residents in 2017 and has projected that figure to reach 350,000 this year.
