Saudi Teen Rahaf al-Qunun Will Fly To Canada For AsylumThe Saudi woman who fled to Thailand from her family has been granted asylum in Canada and will be flying there on Friday night, according to a Thai immigration chief who spoke to Reuters. Immigration chief Surachate Hakparn said Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun, 18, will board a Korean Air flight from Bankok to Seoul before heading to Canada on a connecting flight. “Canada has granted her asylum,” Surachate told Reuters. “She’ll leave tonight at 11.15 p.m.” Canadian authorities would not confirm the details of Qunun's asylum. “We have nothing new to add on this right now,” a spokesman for Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland said.
