Wednesday, 13 March 2019 () A group claiming to be the Irish Republican Army claimed responsibility for several improvised explosive devices which were mailed to locations in London and Glasgow last week on Tuesday, according to Politico. The Metropolitan Police and Police Scotland released a statement which said they were "aware of the claim of responsibility for the devices which were received at three buildings" in the British capital and the University of Glasgow on March 5 and 6.
