Witnesses Say Many Dead After Two Mosque Shootings In Christchurch, New ZealandWitnesses said many people were killed in two mass shootings at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Friday, according to The New York Times. New Zealand Police tweeted for people to remain indoors inside central Christchurch as they looked for the shooter, who allegedly live-streamed one of the attacks and posted an Islamaphobic and racist manifesto online before the shooting. New Zealand Police tweeted the situation was "serious and evolving" and warned, "police are responding with its full capability to manage the situation, but the risk environment remains extremely high." Police said they had one person in custody related to the shootings but they're not sure if others were involved...
