Trump Tweets Admission Of Wanting To Have DHS Release Immigrants In Sanctuary Cities

Just hours after the White House said the plan to bus detained immigrants to sanctuary cities was not happening, President Donald Trump tweeted on Friday he was "giving strong consideration" to the plan which many said was an attempt at revenge, according to NBC News. "Due to the fact that Democrats are unwilling to change our very dangerous immigration laws, we are indeed, as reported, giving strong considerations to placing Illegal Immigrants in Sanctuary Cities only," Trump tweeted. Trump's tweets came after a former Department of Homeland Security official told The Washington Post, who first reported on the plan, it was scrapped after it was determined to be illegal.
