Google Helps Recreate Historic Lion Of Mosul Once Destroyed By The Islamic State



The Silicon Valley giant is helping recreate some of the lost archeological treasures damaged by the Islamic State's war across the Middle East, including a new collaboration announced on Tuesday with Historic England and the Imperial War Museums to recreate a 3D printed replica of the Lion of Mosul, according to BBC News. The Lion of Mosul was destroyed by ISIS fighters in 2015 after the jihadists ransacked the historic Mosul Museum.
