United Kingdom Raises Threat To British Ships In Iranian WatersThe United Kingdom raised the threat to British shipping vessels in Iranian waters to the highest level on Thursday after Iranian boats tried to impede a British oil tanker in the region the day before, according to BBC News. The British Ministry of Defense said the Iranian ship was driven off by a Royal Navy ship after Iran threatened to retaliate for the seizure of one of its own tankers, but Tehran denied any attempted seizure occurred on Wednesday.
