Brexit deal: ‘Fair and balanced’ agreement reached between UK and EU
Thursday, 17 October 2019 British prime minister Boris Johnson said a “great new” Brexit deal had been agreed “that takes back control”. In a suprise move on Thursday, Mr Johnson said in a Tweet: “We’ve got a great new deal that takes back control — now Parliament should get Brexit done on Saturday so we can move on to other priorities like the cost of living, the NHS, violent crime and our environment . European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said on Twitter: “Where there is a will, there is a #deal - we have one! European Union leaders unanimously backed a new Brexit deal with Britain on Thursday.
This leaves Prime Minister Boris Johnson facing a battle to secure the UK parliament’s backing.
This would be for the agreement if he is to take Britain out of Europe on Oct. 31, reports Reuters.
