Facebook suspends network of Russian Instagram accounts amid concerns over 2020 election interference
Tuesday, 22 October 2019 Facebook has confirmed that it removed four separate networks of accounts linked with foreign interference efforts in the US, including a targeted campaign to disrupt 2020 election coverage. One of the accounts appears to be linked to the Russian troll farm Internet Research Agency, which used similar social media subterfuge to sow discord leading up to 2016 elections.
