We’re never going to close the gender pay gap so long as we’re determined not to see it – and today’s data demonstrate the extent to which we have become fixated on progression towards a flawed target while still missing the point. Latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show that the pay gap between men and women in full time work in the UK has widened from 8.6% last year to 8.9% this year.
