Teen activist Greta Thunberg galvanizes L.A.’s youth activists in speech outside City HallThe efforts of throngs of young climate activists who marched in downtown Los Angeles on Friday got a jolt of energy from a visit by 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg. Thunberg, who arrived in the United States by way of a zero-emissions sailboat, delivered remarks to a crowd gathered around City Hall in an appearance that might draw comparisons to Katniss Everdeen, the galvanizing heroine of the dystopian young adult Hunger Games book series. The organizers of Youth Climate Strike Los Angeles along with protesters were joined by Swedish teen climate activist, Greta Thunberg, in a climate strike at Los Angeles City Hall.
