‘Don’t give up' on stopping Brexit, says Donald Tusk

WorldNews Thursday, 14 November 2019
‘Don’t give up' on stopping Brexit, says Donald TuskEuropean Council president Donald Tusk has told campaigners “don’t give up” on reversing Brexit, warning that the UK would become a “second-rate player” after it leaves the EU. The outgoing president also said the UK would become an “outsider” after Brexit, and that a friend who suggested it is “the real end of the British Empire” is probably right. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2019/2020 academic year of the College of Europe, Mr Tusk said he envied former Commons speaker John Bercow because he can “finally, honestly say what he thinks about Brexit”.
