What happened when Seattle district said school may start before Labor Day in 2020

On social media, the district announced the 2020-21 school year may start for "the first time in many years" before Labor Day, which this year falls on Sept. 7. The school board still must approve the official calendar, but efforts to get the word out early did not inspire much appreciation.
