Prosecutors did not break law in secretly reaching lenient Epstein plea deal, appeals court rules

The panel of 11th Circuit Court of Appeals called the case a "national disgrace" but ruled that because federal prosecutors never filed charges or began criminal proceedings, those Epstein abused were not protected by the Crime Victims Rights Act.
