Coronavirus: Global death toll passes 311,000 as countries gradually ease lockdowns

Coronavirus has infected more than 4.6 million people across the world and killed more than 311,000, according to a tally kept by Johns Hopkins University. Many countries are starting gradual easing of lockdowns, however.
