PAUL — State and federal investigators are launching separate probes into the Minneapolis Police Department after a man died after a police encounter, during which an officer pressed his knee against the man's neck for several minutes. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Federal Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday, May 26, announced their separate investigations after a video of the incident circulated online and local leaders called the encounter "disturbing" and "sickening."
