First lunar eclipse of the decade: What’s there to know about this penumbral eclipse?

The first lunar eclipse of this decade is going to occur tonight. The penumbral eclipse will be partially visible in Asia, Africa, Australia and parts of Europe and Americas . The eclipse will last for about 4 hours beginning tonight and ending in the wee hours of 11th January. This year’s eclipse will be of something that is known as the penumbral kind.
