India’s Covid count crosses 2 million, record 62k+ cases on Thursday

Covid-19 cases recorded in India crossed 2 million on Thursday, with the last 1 million cases coming in just 21 days. India recorded 62,482 cases on Thursday, taking the total caseload to 20,23,821, as per data collated from state governments. India also reported 912 deaths on Thursday, the second-highest in a day so far. The last 0.5 million cases have come at a faster pace; just nine days.
