Former envoy Katyayani Shankar Bajpai dies of Covid-19

Katyayani Shankar Bajpai (92), former ambassador to China, US and Pakistan, and secretary in MEA, passed away on Sunday after a battle with Covid. With a career that was as long as it was distinguished, Bajpai, was much more than a diplomat, he was venerated as a strategist and thinker by generation of Indian diplomats, as well as Henry Kissinger, who counted him among his close friends.
