Coastal Karnataka, Kerala receive heavy rainfall over 24 hours; low-lying areas inundated

Several areas of coastal Karnataka on Sunday received heavy rainfall, leading to flood-like situations and waterlogging in low-lying areas, in addition to the damage to crops and property. According to official data, the coastal Karnataka region as a whole received excess rainfall of 793% over the course of the last 24 hours.
