Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the upcoming Sakhir Grand Prix, the sport's governing FIA said on Tuesday. It means his dream to match a record number of victories this season is now out of reach. Emer McCarthy reports.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has said that the positivity rate in the capital is gradually declining. ‘Yesterday, 3,726 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported. The positivity rate is steadily declining. The positivity rate yesterday was 7.35 per cent, which is down around 55 per cent from its peak of 15.26 per cent on November 7,’ Jain said. ‘In the coming one or two weeks, the positivity rate will go down further. The death ratio is currently at 1.61 per cent. The condition of a lot of people worsened due to air pollution in November. The situation will soon improve,’ the minister added. He also spoke on the delay in Covid tests results from labs. He said that the Central government had promised that they will get the tests done by big labs but the results are not being provided within 24 hours. Watch the full video for all the details.

As per the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India on November 29 reported single-day spike of 41,810 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. 496 deaths in the same period pushed the COVID-19 toll in the country to 1,36,696. India's confirmed cases of coronavirus stand at 93,92,920 which include 4,53,956 active infections. More than 88,02,267 people have recovered from the virus with 42,298 new discharges in last 24 hours. According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 12,83,449 samples were tested on November 28. Cumulative samples tested for COVID-19 till November 28 are 13,95,03,803.
