Another ‘Chipko Movement’ in Uttarakhand as residents against felling of 10,000 trees

Residents and wildlife conservationists in Uttarakhand have announced a ‘Chipko Movement’ to save 10,000 trees in Shivalik Elephant Reserve, one of the premier reserves for pachyderms in the country, which are proposed to be felled for expansion of Dehradun airport.
