They brought 2,800 artists from over 100 countries and created a world record. Rajesh Batra is the man who came up with the idea. World's Largest Online Creativity event received World Record Certificate from World Book of Records United Kingdom. The virtual art forum witnessed some of the most iconic pieces of arts from artists.
With a vaccine for Covid-19 believed to be around the corner, preparations are underway in India to ensure speedy distribution. GMR, which owns and operates the Delhi and Hyderabad airports, is reportedly preparing systems to transport vaccine doses when they're available. Temperature-controlled systems are reportedly being readied, since the vaccines need to be stored in a cold environment. On December 2, the United Kingdom approved its first vaccine with doses to be available for use in a few days. With the BJP facing setbacks in the Maharashtra Legislative Council polls, its leader Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said his party failed to gauge the combined strength of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies. He said the party will analyse the poll results and prepare for the next election in a better way. In a setback to the opposition party, MVA candidates have so far won three out of five constituencies- three graduates' and two teachers'. Actor and MP from Gorakhpur Constituency, Ravi Kishan on December 05 questioned people opposing building film city in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the state government is making film in UP not in Pakistan's Karachi so there should not be any oppose for it.
Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department, Amit Mohan Prasad informed that state has become the first state to test more than 2 crore samples. "Yesterday, 1,66,938 samples were examined in the state. Till date, a total of 2,10,28,312 samples have been tested, so many tests have not been done by any state in the country," he said.
Students from Delhi University gathered at Singhu border in support of farmers who are protesting against farm laws. While speaking to ANI, one of the students said, "During the day we make posters to motivate people and later served food. Farmers aren't happy with the laws and we support them."Another student, said he was from Punjab and it was his duty to be here. "Every day 50 to 100 DU students are coming and I laud them. We provide medical care to farmers, listen to their grievances. Girl students ask elderly women about the problems they are facing," said a student. The fifth round of talks with representatives of 40 farmer unions and the Centre was held at Vigyan Bhawan on December 05. The next round of talks will take place on December 09. Thousands of farmers are protesting at Delhi borders demanding repeal of three newly passed farm laws.
On the day that the Union government held the fifth round of talks with farmer leaders, the protestors threatened to intensify the stir, including a gherao of the Parliament, if the outcome wasn't 'positive'. Like the earlier rounds, farmer representatives and the Union agriculture and commerce ministers met at Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan. Further discussions will be held on December 9. The farmers want 3 recent agri-reform laws revoked, and a new law guaranteeing minimum support price formulated. The government has claimed that the laws are in farmers' favour and they are being misled by the Opposition. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the agriculture minister Narendra Tomar, Home minister Amit Shah, and Defence minister Rajnath Singh, ahead of the farmer discussions. As many as 25 people fell sick in Eluru town of West Godavari district on Saturday, 18 of them are children and the remaining seven are adults. The cause of their sickness is yet to be ascertained. They felt nausea and vomiting sensation. As soon as the doctors and police came to know the matter, they shifted them to Eluru government general hospital. Doctors confirmed that all of them are now safe and stable. But the reason for sickness is not yet known. Doctors said that they have sent the blood samples of the patients to Vijayawada government hospital for testing. Meanwhile, State Health Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas who came to know the matter rushed to the hospital and visited the patients. "The doctors are trying to explore the reason for en mass sicknesses. All the patients are now stable. A girl is sent to Vijayawada for better treatment. Doctors' team went to the area where so many people fell sick at a time, and are conducting medical tests in every house in that area," he added.
Days after BrahMos test, fresh missile test-firing was conducted by Indian Air Force. India has been carrying out frequent missile testing amid China tension and Pakistan provocation. Indigenous Akash missiles were test fired at Suryalanka IAF base. Russian Igla missiles were also test-fired at the Andhra station. IAF vice chief air marshal HS Arora witnessed the missile firing.
