Farmers firm on repeal of laws, talks with government inconclusive

Farmers’ representatives, mostly from Punjab insisted they wouldn’t suspend the ongoing protests until they got firm assurance from the Centre on repealing the newly enacted laws. They also rejected a government proposal to set up a committee of experts to study the three laws.
