Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin too gets nod for emergency use

India's vaccine rollout will begin with the availability of two jabs- Oxford-Astra Zeneca's Covishield and Bharat Biotech's homegrown Covaxin- with the Drugs Controller General of India expected to issue final approvals on Sunday. Covishield maker Serum Institute has offered a price of Rs 225-250 per dose for the first tranche, whereas Bharat Biotech has offered Rs 350, a source said.
