Daily cases, number of jabs on the rise across Tamil Nadu

The tally of fresh Covid-19 cases in Tamil Nadu rose to 543 on Friday from the 482 cases reported on the previous day, pushing the cumulative total to 8,53,992 cases. Five deaths on the day took the number of those killed by the virus to 12,513. By noon on Friday, there were 3,954 active cases in the state after 562 discharges.
