India reports 12,249 new Covid-19 cases, 13 deaths in last 24 hours

India's active cases shot up to 81,687 with an increase of 2,374 cases, according to Union health ministry data updated on Wednesday morning. The active cases comprise 0.19 per cent of the total infections.
