Booker winner’s event cancelled over ‘religious colour’

An event scheduled to be held in Agra on Saturday to felicitate International Booker Prize winner Geetanjali Shree was cancelled after a Hathras resident filed a police complaint against her award-winning novel 'Ret Samadhi' (translated into English as 'Tomb of Sand') at the Sadabad police station. No FIR has been registered so far, police said.
