No crime if teacher disciplines child sans mala fide intent: Bombay high court

In a landmark judgment, the high court of Bombay at Goa on Thursday held that an act of a schoolteacher, with no mala fide intention, to correct a child in school is not an offence. This judgment has settled the legal position on teachers disciplining children after the Goa Children’s Act was passed in 2003.
