UN officials and others warn the Haitian migrant crisis may be far from over, as tens of thousands remain stuck along the route from South America, through Panama and north via Mexico. Dramatic scenes near the US-Mexico border showed US officers rounding up and deporting thousands of Haitians who were trying to cross into the United States.
