(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, April 2 (KUNA) -- Dutch caretaker Prime Minister Mark Rutte has narrowly survived a vote of no confidence late Thursday after being accused of lying over moves to sideline an MP who is highly critical of the government."I will continue as prime minister, I will work terribly hard to regain trust," Rutte told parliament after the no-confidence vote early Friday. He was supported by the two main parties that formed part of his previous coalition, the centre-left D66 and centre-right Christian Democratic Appeal, while all opposition parties voted against him.Rutte's centre-right VVD party won the most seats in parliamentary elections in the Netherlands just two weeks ago, and he was in talks with other parties to form a new coalition. However, a second motion of censure against Rutte, for damaging public trust in government, was supported by almost everyone, Dutch media reported Friday.Dutch News NL portal said "some commentators say Rutte's position is so damaged that he will come under pressure from within the VVD to stand down."
