Iranian FM to embark on new regional tour

(MENAFN)Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has set on a new regional tour to intensify and expand Iran�s relations among reports of a possible thaw in Iranian-Saudi ties. Zarif will head to Iraq and Qatar on Sunday to apply discussions with senior officials of the two Arab countries that enjoy warm ties with Iran and, in some cases, acted as a go-amid to calm tensions between Tehran and Riyadh, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh. Khatibzadeh placed Zarif�s visit in the broader context of increasing bilateral ties and following up on regional and transregional discussions. Zarif started his tour with a message of sympathy to Iraq over the tragic incident in a Baghdad hospital that assassinated 82 people and wounded over 100 others.
