Foreign Minister receives phone call from US Secretary of State

(MENAFN - The Peninsula) Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani received a phone call from US Secretary of State H E Anthony Blinken. During the call, they reviewed the latest developments in Palestine. The US Secretary of State thanked Qatar for its great efforts in achieving a ceasefire between the Palestinians and the Israelis, stressing the importance of mobilizing international support for the humanitarian and development efforts in Gaza. He also thanked Qatar for its efforts to establish peace and security in the region, and its role in the Afghan negotiations.
