Police are investigating a robbery in Newquay in which a pair of men attacked a dog walker and tried to take one of his pets.

Officers are appealing for information over the incident in the Pentire car park, overlooking Crantock beach, at around 8.10pm on Wednesday 11 March.

The suspects attempted to take one of the male victim’s two pets, but were challenged and a struggle ensued. They subsequently made off with a bag of camera equipment. 

Both of the dogs were recovered safe and well by their owner.

Police are urging witnesses, or anyone with information, to call 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting crime reference number CR/021544/20.
