Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a three-vehicle collision on Topsham Road, Exeter, at 11am this morning, Thursday 22 April.

The incident occurred at the junction to Barrack Road and involved a Volvo HGV, a Neco Alex-One moped and a Skoda Yeti.

South West Ambulance Service, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue and Devon and Cornwall Police attended and the rider of the moped, a 66-year-old man, was taken to Derriford Hospital with extensive injuries including broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

Topsham Road, at Barrack Road, has been closed in both directions while officers conduct an examination of the scene. Witnesses of the incident are asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk and quote log number 278, 22/4/21.
