Police investigating a serious road traffic collision in North Petherwin, Launceston, at around 3.45pm, on Thursday 29 April, are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

As a result of a lorry and a car slowing to a stop on a small rural road, the rider of a quad bike has taken evasive action causing him to become unseated.

The rider, a man in his 60s, sustained what could be life-changing injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance.

Once a full examination of the scene was conducted the road was re-opened.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience while the road was closed.
