Wednesday, 15 May 2019 () Alabama lawmakers voted Tuesday night to approve what has been described as the nation's most restrictive anti-abortion law. The Republican-controlled Senate voted 25 to 6 in favor of a bill that would ban virtually all abortions in the state and punish doctors who perform abortions with up to 99 years in prison.
