Atlanta-based Formetco has completed installation of four FTX billboards for Astral Media. This included the installation of the largest digital billboard in Canada along the Gardiner Expressway.

DULUTH, Ga. (PRWEB) August 08, 2018

Formetco has recently completed installation of four FTX digital billboards across Canada including 28’ by 56’ digital billboards on Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway. These new displays will provide advertisers a daily circulation of 120,000 vehicles on the largest highway digital billboards in Canada. Two more digital boards will be erected on the Gardiner in September.

“We are honored to be a part of this landmark location in Toronto,” asserts Jim Bradford, a digital sales manager at Formetco. “We had a fantastic experience with Astral Media years ago in Vancouver, and we appreciate this key partnership to place multiple digital displays across Montreal and Toronto including the largest highway digital billboards in all of Canada.”

Astral Media selected Formetco based on a prior collaborative experience. “Formetco technicians always showed up on time and delivered flawless execution of their duties,” relays Kevin Martens, director of operations and construction for Astral Media in Quebec. “They always communicated well throughout our last installation.”

Hosting 143 digital displays and producing $1.8 billion in annual sales combined with Bell Media, Astral is one of the biggest digital media companies in Canada. Accordingly, they required high performance and durability in their partner for this high profile installation. Martens points out that “Formetco’s last board has performed flawlessly for five years. We’ve had zero calls to them for issues. Their service, reliability, and pricing led us to choose them for our next project.”

Bradford concurs. “We’re thrilled that Astral selected us. Operators expect durability and Formetco delivers, providing 10-year brightness and 10-year parts warranties.  This gives our customers assurance that our digitals are more reliable and will last longer than any other manufacturer’s offering.”

Targeting reliability, efficiency, and image quality, Formetco’s digital billboards use less power and generates less heat than traditional billboards.  Keeping temperatures lower means FTX LED screens are able to run brighter longer and eliminates the need for costly high maintenance fans. Their efficiencies help partners immediately by saving thousands of dollars every year on power bills.

“They have listened to their vendors and made their products so reliable,” Martens says. “They have advanced their technology, designed lighter cabinets, and innovated the software to adapt to every situation even the extreme temperatures of Canada have no effect on the boards.

This Formetco – Astral Media project initiated April 2 with the installation of the 28’x56’ boards in Toronto. A 14’x48’ board were placed in Montreal the week of May 21, a 14’x48’ board was placed in Toronto in July, and two additional boards will be installed in Toronto this September.
