*ALLEN, TX / ACCESSWIRE / December 24, 2020 / *It is no secret that boba tea is one of 2020's top trends, and the business market agrees. Global markets forecast that boba tea is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of nearly 9% between now and 2027, totaling approximately $4.25 billion. Business marketing expert, David J. Kim believes in investing with intent while developing communities culminated from positivity, kindness, and boba tea.

David is a Houston, Texas, native from a family of local business owners. He is a University of Texas at Austin graduate and currently pursuing his MBA part-time at the McCombs School of Business. After graduating with a Finance and History degree, he joined the family business, Jumping World, where he developed his expertise in business operations and real estate. David helped Jumping World grow from six successful locations to eleven locations in a matter of four years.

Currently, David owns and operates several other local businesses. In 2018, he and his friend, Eric Chiang, founded Chingoo Properties, a boutique real estate firm based out of Houston. Just recently, in the middle of a pandemic in April 2020, he along with two business partners, Paolo De Leon and Christopher Nguyen, were able to open their first Boba shop, Boba Republic, highlighting their main product, milk tea, also known as bubble tea or boba tea.

Boba Republic has become a local hot spot for Dallas, Texas, community members looking for an energizing cup of boba tea. With Boba Republic, David, Paolo, and Christopher have created a work culture that exemplifies their care for their community and customers.

For instance, one of their core values centers on sustainability. At Boba Republic, you will find bamboo straws which are environmentally friendly compared to plastic straws and do not deteriorate like paper straws. Their tea is also made with only non-GMO produced milk. While these choices may require greater monetary investments, David believes that their community and improved environment footprint are well worth it.

At Boba Republic, community is everything. To give back and support the community where David and his partners work, Boba Republic gives back 3% of its quarterly profits to local school organizations and nonprofit organizations. Throughout the business, David believes in diligence, hard work, and of course, boba culture.

As president of Boba Republic, David applies his expertise in finance, marketing, and business operations on a daily basis. Always having had a strong sense of community and pride in local business, he attributes the success of Boba Republic to their core values as a company.

Local business expert, David J. Kim, shares three tips to local business success:

1. Repeat customers are the key to success! They are the most important driving force to a local business. Establishing rapport and a sense of community is central to sustaining growth.

2. Everything matters, from the product quality to the customer experience. No detail is too small. From the moment a customer walks in the door, the experience begins. Boba Republic is not your average cup of boba tea. Boba Republic prioritizes consistency and freshness. To guarantee perfect boba for every drink, the boba is machine made. Customers also get their tea brewed right upon order, not in bulk from the morning of or night before. Despite its name, Boba Republic recognizes boba tea is not for everyone and provides delicious alternatives like smoothies and slushies.

3. Your team matters! Boba Republic believes in paying its employees well, motivating the team to provide the best tea and experience for customers. Many franchise chains commonly pay minimum wage and overwork employees, often leading to unmotivated employees who are not invested in the company mission. As of today, there has only been one employee turnover since the opening of the company and that one turnover was because of a school scheduling conflict.

Despite the current environment, Boba Republic has been profitable during 2020. David and his partners have been able to recently expand their business and purchased a competitor. The 2nd Boba Republic location will be opening Mid-December in the Plano area. Be sure to follow @bobarepublic on Instagram for opening day details if you are in the area.
